Literally driving me crazy.
-2 дн.
Wonderful podcast, I listen every day. Recently the hosts, who are journalists at the New York Times for god’s sake, have been saying literally when they mean figuratively and it’s making me insane.
Tavernise > Barbaro

Lately, and especially with regards to election coverage, I feel that Barbaro is out of his depth. He is sometimes quite tone deaf and I don’t like the way he treats his guests. The best episodes are those hosted by Tavernise, who comes across as sharp, respectful, and well measured. Can we please have more of her?
Echo Chamber

I’ve been a daily listener of the show for years now. Of course, I’ve always been aware of the left-leaning bias, but lately, it feels overwhelming. There are no opposing views earnestly presented by the hosts (for an extreme example, see Astead Herndon), and the content now comes from such a narrow range of viewpoints, it feels pointless. NYT desperately needs new blood in order to provide high-quality news.
Please speak normally, why…do…you…pause…all…the….time
-2 дн.
If you want to know why everyday normal people think NYT is elitist. This is the type of behavior. Please speak normally. The weird pausing in the middle of the hosts sentences sounds performative and odd. When he gets into conversations, he “forgets” to speak that way and he comes off normally. But when he does the intro and changes the subject, he “remembers” to start speaking in his “podcast” voice again. Please stop. I can’t listen anymore. Sigh. Content is good, but gah! I can’t do it.
