Outstanding Wolfe Podcast

I could spend hours telling you why I love Gene Wolfe’s work. But, if you’re searching for podcasts about his work, you already agree with me. Let me instead tell you that this is the best podcast I have found that covers his work. I’m thrilled to be re-reading Wolfe in chronological order with Glenn and Brandon. I look forward to my morning commute on the days a new episode drops! If you love Wolfe, you should be listening to this podcast.
Long due

I listen to 2 podcasts, and they are both close to my heart. To both, the quote I think perfectly fit the value of your work From William Wordsworth's The Prelude: "What we love, others will love, and we will teach them how." Thank you.
A necessary listen for Wolfe readers

In a surprisingly (and welcome!) crowded field of Gene Wolfe podcasts, this one offers not only two unique voices, and therefore perspectives, on the rich and vast mystery of Wolfe’s literary output, but also the novel approach of reading that output in chronological order. In further comparison with the other podcasts in the field (which I also recommend,) the hosts here offer a slightly more academic approach to the works, and often move at a faster pace.
Fantastic discussions of a fascinating writer
28/04/2020
Gene Wolfe is an author whose work cries out for discussion with friends during and after reading, and this podcast fills that niche perfectly, with thoughtful reviews and commentary of the stories and interesting speculation on the meanings and allusions, themes and motifs, of this most elusive and allusive writer.
Entertaining and Informative!

Great for both long time fans of Gene Wolfe, those who are new to his writing, and anyone curious enough to learn about one of the great American writers of speculative fiction. Glenn and Brandon do a marvelous job of breaking down the plot of each story or novel before diving into their analysis of the themes and deeper meanings. This show can be enjoyed even if you haven’t read the works in question. It has helped me deepen my understanding of Gene Wolfe and his work.
Just a beautiful podcast

Great thoughtful consideration of Gene Wolfe’s short stories and novellas. The hosts show genuine interest in the material and listening to these episodes would surely inspire the same in you even if you’ve never read a single word of a Wolfe story.
The conversations this Wolfe fan has always hoped for
12/04/2020
My experience as a Wolfe fan has always been that of recommending him to everyone in the hopes that someone else would finally read him so I could finally have in-depth discussions with others. Alas, it’s been slow going. Finally, I have a podcast to whet friends’ appetites with, and a model for how I want to talk through his work. These two do an incredible job breaking down Wolfe’s stories, drawing out themes, and most important, asking the right questions. 5/5, would and do recommend.
Superb close readings of GW

This podcast unearths great deep cuts from GW’s collections of short stories and novellas Glenn and Brandon are very good readers, and they always find a new detail I missed. Even the summaries are interesting! I am very much looking forward to hearing their take on Peace.
Deeply Enjoyable for any Gene Wolfe Fan

A great podcast for fans of Gene Wolfe

A very entertaining and informative podcast that goes chronologically through Wolfe’s writing. The tone is academic, but whenever philosophy or history is brought up the context is always provided in a way that is easy to understand. One thing that is fun is that they are spending just as much time on Wolfe’s short stories, since he was a prolific writer in that area. It’s a lot of fun to be able to read a random Wolfe story and follow it up with an episode unpacking it. Keep up the great work!
