My fav part is the “what I watched” part. It would be helpful d useful if you would publish a years-end rating list for all movies discussed. Thanks.
Sadly, I’m departing

Five star to three. I’m 53 years old. Been collecting movies, specifically cult, sci-fi, horror, sleaze… for decades on Super 8, VHS, Beta, selectavision, laserdisc, dvd, Blu ray and 4K. I love my movies (repeat). I loved this podcast and have been listening from the absolute beginning back in the day when they, Cinema Diabolica and Outside the Cinema were all friends and such. I was so happy that Large William returned (but felt sorry for the other guy who filled in all that time (a little bitter about that, too)). Again. I love movies. I was an avid comic collector growing up (thousands in the storage room). Nothing has helped me to feel young and giddy again like watching the Marvel Movies for more than a decade. Seeing the comics and characters come to life on the big screen and treated so well. My ten year old self would have lost everything on the bet that we would ever see such grandeur and scale on the big screen. And that non-comic people would actually pay money to see guys in colorful outfits fighting each other and telling stories that sealed the fate of the universe. I can no longer listen to this podcast, though. The whole point of the marvel films is what Sammy hates about the films. Yes, like the cliffhangers (and comics) of old, we’re strung along to the next adventure (very rarely did the comic of the month tell a complete story). You’re thinking “blah”. I’m thinking… wow! I saw “Eternity” on the big screen! I saw freakin Sub-Mariner, winged feet, green pants and all, taken and portrayed (looking just like the comics) seriously! Average people are flocking to what I used to get ridiculed for reading. I’m loving it. What I’m not loving is this new time of hate that has popped up with social media. We can’t simply appreciate and love what we’re getting… and getting done well. We have to complain that it’s “not a real movie”. So, while Multiverse of Madness (amazing) is not a “real movie”, but something like Miami Connection is? By the way, I own both in multiple formats. I’m removing hate from my life of late. I no longer wish to hear it spat at things I love. So I have removed this podcast from my feed after 14 or so years. I will fondly say thank you for that time, but it is now time to say… adios!
Varied taste, incredible back catalog of episodes

That rare genre movie podcast that’s analytical about its film subjects while remaining accessible to just about every movie fan, from novice to cinephile. Always a good balance between humor and thoughtful discussion, whether they’re talking Fellini or PM Entertainment. The gentlemen hosts have a great rapport that comes across in every exchange and every episode. Highly recommended.
Head and Shoulders Above the Rest

This podcast covers a large swath of genre films and avoids many of the traps that it’s competitors fall into. The three hosts have incredible chemistry, a quirky sense of humor, a huge amount of perspective on the topic, and a true love of cinema. They very deftly avoid hyperbole, insults, and politics. Sound quality is great.
