    "Contend in Prayer" is an old American way of talking about earnestly praying, for changing situations. Praying so hard that it is like fighting. Indeed, is it about fighting in the Spirit. We want to pray for our children. We want to pray for our nation. So often we are so discouraged and so mesmerized that we have a hard time to pray powerfully. Sometimes we don't know how.     Giving Comfort and the Comfort of Giving

    I, like so many others, have been out volunteering to help the victims of the floods. Our hearts go out. Our diligence and vigilance needs to go out. The cause of devastation is partly or entirely the fault of government. The lack of response is also continuing lack or nefarious action of government. The help both in the Kerrville/Hunt area and the Sandy Creek/Round Mountain areas have been done by volunteers. Unthanked and increasingly restrained. Something great happened, however, and that is what I will tell you about. Elizabeth King brought weighted teddy bears to comfort victims. Let's consider that.

    Dr. Ted Edwards Talks to us about Forgiveness as Vital to Healing

    Back when we were on the radio, Dr. Ted Edwards, MD, well known in Austin as a leading physician regarding female hormones and longevity. What is also true is that he was an active Baptist layman. Told me a story about testifying to his (tall steeple) pastor while on a leisure walk. Today, he talks about forgiveness and the important of such in healing. Holding onto resentment causes people to not heal up. Even can make disease come back. Not about making sin okay, but about giving it to God, so that we don't keep hurting. In Greek "forgiveness" is from aphesis, which can be translated either as "remittance of sin" and as "letting it go"   A friend says, "giving it to God."  That is like "rolling your cares onto Jesus." I notice that Dave Asprey on his podcast with Dr. Caroline Leaf said his idea of forgiveness is like choosing not to be quantumly entangled. Enjoy. Be free.

    BAck in 2009, when we were a radio program, Dr. Ted Edwards, legendary in Austin, came to talk to us about detox. Oh, those boxes you buy at the store are insignificant, he said. Chelation therapy is where it is at. Notice: what we think is age is really toxicity. And autism is from toxicity. Now, Dr. Edwards specialized in longevity while Dr. Wakefield was at that time setting up a clinic do to chelation therapy for children. Let's list to this classic and ever more important episode.

    CovidCon Recap 1 : How Did You Know so Soon?

    The discussion has changed a lot! Check my X/Twitter feed and you see an abundance of posts about busted cover-ups and calls for accountability and so forth. There are even doctors who claim they spoke up but that their communications were suppressed. Those we know of, who survived, continue to work for health, truth and justice. The court system while terribly slow, does promise some redress. Similarly, at a local convention, at the booth for a vaccine choice group, the people who came by were saying very different things than years ago. Maybe only 3 or 4 years ago, people would come with heart wrenching horror stories. Others would be fresh to the consideration. Today, most were welcoming the newsletter sign-up so they could make their voices heard at the legislature. Some smiled and said "We don't vaccinate," as they passed by. One nurse said she just knew something was off because she had been told in nursing school that vaccine take a long time to test. Another said she was torn, that as a mother she was with us, but as a nurse, not. When I kindly suggested she could now read professional literature, now available on Pubmed, so she didn't have to wonder, she said, no, she didn't wonder. In 3 days that was 1 of the only 2 negative remarks? Things have changed. Today, I recap. Some, surprisingly don't know. They have limited access to news and limited experience in critical thinking.     Effective Trauma Therapy

    Dr. Lendell Braud, Ph.D. brings us report of effective trauma therapy. After a career of teaching at Texas Southern and working with traumatized and at risk children both in private practice and in partnership with several charity organization, she is now working with veteran residential treatment centers around the country. Please hear her time-tested ideas. Please hear her "guided imagery" as a way to walk people of any stripe toward hearing from and communing with God. Acknowledge that because she is a psychologist, working with public universities and a wide range of people, that she is not permitted to use religious language. So please listen, even if not in your particular denominational dialect. Our hearts and prayers go with flood victims and responders.

    GSB Celebrates Independence Day

    It is a good day to celebrate: we took liberty in a responsible way. Not with rebellion, but based on agreed upon Biblical priniciples.  Yes! it has been said that the Battle of Concord was won at Hasting. In other words, Englishmen had to respect the principles that the American were fighting upon because both were Christian. It is a foundational understanding that liberty, freedom, and prosperity came along with adherence to Biblical Christianity.  No other culture thru time and space has brought us such. Only the gospel. It is the goodness of God that leads people to repentance. Non-Christians, by contrast are socialized into bad behavior or simply revert to it. Stealing, murder, rape, slavery -- these things are either winked at or else directly taught by other religions. A well-educated young man from well-intentioned parents wrote me that he thought a Christian government would be repressive! I was shocked to tears all day. So, his favored secular communism would be less repressive? Since when has that ever happened? Or maybe the Jihadi one that is just about to come in on top of what we have now? (As if an open border was just the usual cheap labor and not an invitation to sleeper cells!) Look, how could a Christian government be repressive? To whom would be be repressive? Only to the worst more unrepentant criminals. And he said this in relation to .... just a moderate candidate.... maybe conservative but really only against crime and sex slavery. How can one slip from that to .... Christian government? Well, I know his family. He goes to an Episcopal church that fences the table against Christians.  LIterally. They say if you believe that Jesus in the only way to salvation or right living, you may not  come to communion. Lord help us, we are infiltrated by traitors. Let's get back to our roots. So today, we talk about the New England Primer. It taught students to read better and faster and cheaper than any method we have today. But the content!!!!
