    Vision Can Be Improved!

Vision can be improved! So can eyesight. Both vision and eyesight can be improved? Did you think not? Did someone tell you otherwise? Vision has to do with the brain. Eyesight has to do with the eyes. Both need to be working. Both can be improved. Eye doctors do not do that. They, instead, sell glasses. So, they "correct" eyesight by putting on glasses. Often these glasses are the wrong prescription. People, especially children complain, and are told "well your eyes will adjust." Well, sure enough their brain adjusts, and maybe their eyes adjust too. And then they need stronger glasses. Until the person is old and is sold surgery -- that lasts only 7 years. STOP! Vision is not the same as Eyesight Vision/eyesight is extremely important. Obviously, it underlies academic performance, but also it is foundational to lots of other things including spatial awareness/coordination and social ability and behavior and ability to focus! Until now just about no one was working scientifically on that. Resources And more and more Americans are having eye problems -- largely because of the over-use of screens. I just heard a great podcast by Dave Asprey with guest Dr. Bryce Applebaum https://daveasprey.com/1240-bryce-appelbaum/ that got me excited. So, I sat down with you, like an informal chat, and tried to convey what I know. Meier Schnieder was blind, exercised till he could see, and started sharing his intuitive methods with others. He now teaches courses in person and on line. https://self-healing.org/ He had a couple of books, too. Here is a link to the old sunning and palming exercises, altho I do not know the folks behind these sites at all. Looks like this is called the "Bates Method." https://integraleyesight.com/batesmethod/palming-and-sunning/ https://batesvisioneducation.org/using-sunshine-to-improve-eyesight/ https://naturallyclearvision.com/the-practice-of-palming/ https://healingtheeye.com/Articles/Sunning_is_beneficial.html Easy things to do First principals: Get outside, do not stay indoors on your computer all the time! Strictly limit screen time for children. Make your screens warm, with as little blue light as possible. Even adults should stop using a screen 2 hours before bedtime or use strong blue blockers like Tru dark glasses. https://truedark.com/ (Cheap substitutes won't be as good but will likely do some good.) Look far away. Take breaks from working your eyes at least every hour. Exercise your eyes: 1) Look close and far away 2) Look all around 3) Use your peripheral vision 4) Rest your eyes by covering your eyes with your warm palms and enjoying darkness for a while. I think you will notice that your eyesight is improving with just a few trials. But keep on! Take hope and motivation by this fact, now established: that vision and eyesight can be improved -- a great deal. Maybe in the future no one will wear glasses!

Story of my grandsons and how this podcast got going

Today, I tell the story of my older grandsons and how this podcast go going. They had some problems to start with, but then my daughter had a terrible auto accident with them in the car. the oldest went to be with Jesus. The next was given zero percent chance of living. He turned 5 in a coma. The third, not yet two, was thrown from his care seat, out the windsheild, and his femur fractured, and had glass in his forehead. We went to the "best ICU" in the state and got unimaginably bad "care." But we got help from a famous ministry that I happened to know in that town. And we got some healings - in a variety of ways. i really credit the folks at that ministry especially for coming out to my grandson's memorial service. Gosh, that was kind. It is one thing, as a professional to provide one, but for lay folks just to come out; that is kind. And we got some healings. The second grandson woke from that coma, and started talking -- to the utter amazement of the speech therapist. And he is working now. Pediatricians were flabberghasted that he could walk. He can come close to being management, at 25, I am told. Third grandson, I pulled glass out of his hair. And taught him to talk. He is a valuable tradesman, now at 22. And will have to make a hard decision about whether to take a supervisory position, too. All this because I had a faith perspective. And my pastor said, "Write a book!" Well, I did. And you can buy it: Learn at Home for Great Shalom. That is what I knew. That is why I told my father that there was not point in my earning money to save for the boys' college if they never learned to read. They did. But not because of doctors or schools, but because of Grandmother. And they are not the only ones. The Lord has sent me into schools a few times to rescue other children. What about yours? You need to listen and learn, first the faith perspective, and then the right strategies for your children, grandchildren or students. God wants total well-being for all children. And you need to be part of providing that. Also, other people need to know about it. I have been censored, I am told, because I have curated info about ... well you know... that also hurt children and old people. But God still wants total well-being for all children, old and young alike. And with faith and perserverence, we are going to be part of delivering that. Please help. Share face2face and otherwise, won't you?

    Drone Reports as Thinking Exercise

Today we are posting our last 'cast of the year -- early. So, next week: Drone reports as a Thinking Exercise. Those who watch news, especially indie news, know about the numerous drone citings and the discussion arising. Lots of questions. Many suggestions. Some fear mongering. Requests for more funding and more power. Accusations. You bet, the typical political discourse. And with reason. By contrast, some homeschool moms, in fact most mothers, may be too busy to even care. "What could I do about it anyway?" Well, true. However, since at this point there is a lot of material to work with and no conclusion, this becomes a great thinking exercise. So, besides wanting to celebrate with grandchildren, now is a good time to post this episode. If after Christmas you have time to use this as an activity with your children or grandchildren, here you go. Fodder for thought. Oh 12! I need a 12th! Some threat that means no inaugruation? And October 7 type attack? Yikes, is that 13? A false flag so that people won't allow Americans to fly drones in future? ???? What are the possibilities? What is the evidence? How do you know? What is most likely? What are the take-away "to-dos" or "not-to-dos?" Comment after more info: Well, the most common and most dangerous default thinking is normalcy bias. If you are being attacked and don't realize it, that is bad. However, these days, we have a lot of fear porn. So, this is why thinking exercises are imperative. And for generations, few have been taught about it. Here is new info: https://rumble.com/v608qlt-webinar-treacherous-transition-team-xi-biden-and-intensifying-threats-to-am.html?mref=9iht7&mrefc=2 Another few voices: https://rumble.com/v60z9m8-the-round-table-12-19-24.html?e9s=src_v1_mfp Feel free to add whatever link you think is helpful. COMMENT" From Steve Deas as reported by Gary Humble & Kevin Kookeqy, TN Stands: Maybe the drones are flown because Congress has a bill ready to take more control over drones, so this is an operation to drum up popular support for limiting freedom. From Gary Humbe, TN Stands: May AI has taken control of the drones and the military is frantically trying to get control back and that is why they don't want us to know. You do see a comment box below, don't you? I have it in my settings, but I don't see it; however, after all, my software knows that I am the administrator. Please let me know if it is not working )-- assuming you are a real listener and not pitching you webmaster services! )

How to Tell What is True

We have been in a series on how to think better. However, this is the first episode of the older series on how to tell what is true. Wow! is this ever a timely topic. More than half the country is rejoicing that we saved democracy from communists, and another large percentage of the country is lamenting that Hitler and the facists have just taken over, with a promise to end democracy. One party wants to return to the rule of law and the other is afraid of lawfare and weaponized government. It would be hilariously laughable if it were not so deadly serious. However, this ability to tell what is true is not just a widespread life skill need, but it is particularly a "LD" need. Students with learning disabilities seem to be slower at "reading between the lines" precisely because they are spending so much energy on decoding what those words in the line mean. They may be slower at gaining "social skills" precisely because they are spending so much time on academic work. Of course, it also may be true that there are brain healing, detoxing, and growing issues, which we addressed in the more recent series. In any case, this topic, how to tell what is true, is a huge need for everyone. Teacher and educators need to work with students who are having problems in school to directly teach this. It is a shame, of course, that this is not in the normal public school curricula. Wonder why that is? Anyway, hope this helps you. Please like, share, and tell your friends.
