Brings me home to my heart

I am a huge fan of the book, “Essentialism,” and have read it many times. This podcast is a beautiful companion to the book. I love listening to these episodes when I am walking in nature and reflecting on what really matters in my life. I’m so grateful that Greg McKeown has dedicated his life to this work. He has given so much of his time and energy to making these big contributions to the world. I feel the ripples of his work every single day in my own life. The ripple effects will live on forever — in everyone who makes intentional choices and all the folks they impact. Thank you!
Elitism

I liked Essentialism and have Effortless in my queue. The podcast is annoyingly add heavy as noted before. In the latest podcast Greg claims to be non-partisan but then has an elderly billionaire recount having to behave like a sycophant just to exist with the prior US administration. Nothing remotely critical of the previous administration was made which shows a difference to the previous administation that insults the audience. Simplification is no doubt a worthy goal but when leaders resort to manipulating fears it is not simplification. Shifting a current problem to the future is just profiteering. Greg is jeopardizing the trustworthiness of his advice if he does not change course and address multi-factor problems for long term benefit. There is enough avenues for billionaire worship we don’t need this podcast to be another one.
Great reminder on Routines!

Really enjoyed todays episode on routines. A great reminder on something simple to do- revamping one routine at time - that can pay such big dividends. Thanks!
Too Much Time Spent on Ads

The content is valuable, and it’s simple enough to hit the skip ahead button several times until you can get back to the content. I’m more concerned about the conflict between handing out advice on building more meaningful relationships away from Social Media while shilling for Social Media businesses. Which is it? Do as I say, not as I do?
