Welcome to, “the GUSSIE,” a podcast for design junkies! We are friends, design partners, retailers, treasure hunters, fabric and wallpaper worshippers. We love what we do and are excited to share our escapades in the world of interiors. Our goal is to pull back the curtain on the design industry and give everyone a front row seat. We believe the key to a dynamic life begins in the home, and that living beautifully and meaningfully is something everyone can achieve.
Are you ready to get gussied?

Confessions from the “Bedofa” with Amanda Nisbet
One thing is for sure: A-list designer Amanda Nisbet is no shrinking violet (although to be clear, she wouldn't shrink from using the color violet). With a personality as vibrant and colorful as the rooms she designs, Amanda takes us through her journey from aspiring actress to accomplished interior designer. Tune in to hear how Amanda approaches the design process, what she's planning for the future, and why every home needs a "Bedofa."

Dream Design Podcast with Paloma Contreras
In our latest episode we sit down with Paloma Contreras, an award-winning interior designer and celebrated tastemaker who is also an author, retailer, podcaster, blogger, and now lighting designer. Tune in to hear about her new lighting line with Visual Comfort & Co, how she manages her many businesses and juggles family life, and why she thinks designing is a little like dating.

Workroom Confidential with Katie Rosenfeld
In this episode we sit down with Katie Rosenfeld, the Boston-based designer behind some of our favorite rooms. Known for her no-holds-barred approach to pattern, color, and layering, Katie is a master at achieving that oft elusive zone where a room is both editorial and livable. Given the multifaceted nature of her interiors, it is no surprise that Katie herself is a renaissance woman with a quick-witted personality to boot. Tune in to learn and laugh!

What’s New, 2022?
It’s January, which means it’s time for "what’s in" and "what’s out” on the GUSSIE. In this episode, we break down the top design trends for 2022 (think brown furniture, matte paint, earth tones) and bid an overdue good riddance to the fads of yesteryear (buh-bye white shiplap!). We also reflect on how our culture — from hit shows to politics to cultural movements — directly impacts the design industry. What does 2022 have in store for the world of interiors? Tune-in to find out.

Supply-Chain Me a River
New sofa still in production? Carpet stuck somewhere on the high seas? We feel you. One of the many unpleasant by-products of the pandemic is the global supply chain crisis. This unprecedented interruption in the ability to “get stuff” has many industries reeling, including the design world. In this episode we tackle “the why” of this problem, and explain how our business has been uniquely impacted. We also discuss real-time solutions for designers and consumers alike.

Love this Podcast
I stumbled across this podcast and instantly enjoyed it. It’s one of the only podcast that has designers that work with older homes and discusses true renovations and design. I think it’s because they are in the east coast and have renovated themselves.
It is fantastic to hear!
Could be good!
Great content and guests, but the hosts seem to really struggle to let a guest answer a question or complete thought. The Paloma Contreras
Episode was so sad because she is such a brilliant woman and has such a hugely successful business, but they barely let her speak. Obviously, they have a lot of great thoughts and ideas and are super fun also, so maybe they standalone episodes are better where they aren’t trying to do an interview, but they just share their own thoughts.
Favorite Podcast
I’ve binged every episode, and as a designer myself, this is the honest, transparent and refreshing perspective that our industry needs. Suzanna and Pamela don’t take themselves too seriously, all while offering honest, real advice on design that anyone could relate to. Looking forward to more episodes!
