The Hey Girl Hey Podcast (JULY 1): Affirmative Action Matters w/ guest Dr. Ketwana Schoos

The ladies are back after a super long break to discuss the hot topics: are the kids killing music, deadbeat celebrity dads, America isn't so beautiful anymore, and what does the SCOTUS ruling on affirmative action really mean for our youth?  Tonight's guest: Dr. Ketwana Schoos, Chief Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Officer for the Community College of Allegheny County: • a higher education professional with over 20 years of progressive experience as an administrator and faculty member promoting diversity, equity and inclusion in a variety of college and university settings.  • teaches courses in subject areas including Sociology, Diversity and Social Justice, African American History, and Leadership.  • Bachelor’s Degree from Central Michigan University (Spanish major, Political Science minor), two Master’s Degrees from Indiana University (African American and African Diaspora Studies, Higher Education and Student Affairs), and a Doctorate of Education from the University of Pittsburgh (Administrative and Policy Studies, Higher Education Management concentration).  She is also an active member of ZETA PHI BETA SORORITY, INC., current president of Upsilon Eta Zeta Chapter here in Western PA.  She’s more than qualified to speak on the breaking news about The U.S. Supreme Court setting some new rules for college campuses that have exercised affirmative action in their admissions.  This episode was recorded LIVE via StreamYard Thursday, June 29, 2023 (7PM)
