#9 Hey! I'm Available- with Graphic Designor + Community Founder, Dylan Sheridan
If you’ve been racking your brain trying to figure out how your skills in the entertainment industry translate to the outside world, you aren’t going to want to miss today’s episode!
My guest this week is the lovely and amazing Dylan Sheridan. Dylan is a New York based Graphic Designer with nearly 30 years experience in Showbiz. During the strikes, he started a facebook group called crew_NYC to help film workers find employment outside of the entertainment industry. Since then the group has grown to 4,600 members and has inspired multiple off shoot groups throughout the United States .
This episode is about remembering how much we are capable of and qualified to do as film professionals. Please take a moment and join "The Crew" group closest to you!
In this episode we get into:
- The role of community in proving hope during times of uncertainty
- Real talk about using down time post strikes to explore other sources of income outside of the entertainment industry
