This is best Mets Podcast, and there are some good ones out there. I need to take issue with the current take of Jose Iglesias and the opinion of dropping him from the line up. I have rarely seen a player as dialed in as I had Iglesias the last three weeks of the season. I can only imagine the toll takes on one’s psyche. Now without getting too out there. I truly believe all he needs is a day off. A day to cheer the team from the dugout. Here’s how I’d handle it, taking into account Brandon’s foot injury. First, DH Nimmo (Mendy said the foot issue doesn’t affect abs). Play Jeff in left, Acuna at 2nd, and rest Jose. I think benching him more than a game is an overreaction.

I think Monday’s game 1 will go down as THE game and I love the other options y’all have. One more I would add, for the Magic and sentimentality of the moment, would be Wilmer’s Walk-Off game the night after the tears at the thought of leaving the team
