    The Impossible Teaching

Happily, we are not alone in that struggle. Even Jesus' first followers could not comprehend the new world he was proposing, where the destructive powers of this world are not undone by marshalling counter-powers into warfare, but instead by self-offering, service, and humility. This teaching remains radical, and radically transformative for our time.
