The Comedic & Feminist Best!
I love everything about Laurie Kilmartin and her inspired Twitter feed. I even say the F word like she does now. (Just draw out the short u vowel sound for a few extra seconds & you'll have it too.) Also appreciate the Comic of the Week shout-out. Jackie is a hard worker but kind of a bully/opportunist behind her human meat shield lady schtick (when she showed up to record behind the scenes before Laurie’s set on Conan & finagled a gig for herself... cringe!). She’s proud of herself for being married to a man, though, and for opening for Maria Bamford periodically, who she mentions whenever she can possibly fit it in there, lord help us, omg, she’s dropping Maria’s name again as I write. Listen for Laurie. So smart + her crowd work videos on youtube are a must.
One stop shopping
How cool is it when different elements come together , I loved Laurie”s appearance , is appearance the right term ,on the Dollop , a special episode of the coffisioner , followed that to favorite murder , and introduced to Jackie on Monster Party ,now coming together in a one stop listening.
How much time have we done?!?!
Laurie and Jackie becoming friends, sometimes reluctantly, is a real treat. A fabulous counterpoint to every asshat male comedian vomiting their opinions into the world.
