The Lit Pickers
The Lit Pickers is a podcast that celebrates books and bold opinions. Hosted by writers Supriya Nair and Deepanjana Pal, each episode explores literature, authors and reading. The show champions the written word, as well as the biggest ideas, tiniest thoughts, silliest questions, and confounding conundrums. Nair and Pal invite you to their Sunday breakfast table banter, that makes for truly lively commentary for readers and thinkers, and awaken the bookworm in you. So, pop the kettle on, grab a biscuit and listen, as your reading list gets longer and longer.
Great recommendations for this non-desi reader!

I am a big fan of South Asian literature written in English and now more and more in translation. Since I’m not desi and I live in the US it’s hard to find recommendations for authors to try beyond just browsing goodreads, Amazon.in pages, and some international publishers sites with Indian imprints and hope for the best. I always love hearing Indian readers and authors talk about the literary scene in India and it’s always cool when our interests and literary touchstones overlap. Can’t wait to binge listen the back episodes.
Erudite and fun

Loved listening to these two talk about a wide range of books, they really told me what I needed to know about their recommendations to pick my next great read. Also, it’s fun listening to them banter back-and-forth. They are as witty as they are well read!
Love it!
