Jamestown wasn’t the first English settlement in the New World, two decades earlier Virginia was claimed by Sir Walter Raleigh during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.
After a supply run Governor John White returned to find the settlement deserted, with no sign of the 115 colonists he had left behind three years earlier. For 400-years experts have been trying to piece together the answer of what happened to the Lost Colony of Roanoke, let’s take a look at what they’ve found.
