Mostly good.

I enjoy listing to the show. I think the advice is usually good. I don’t like when the hosts laugh at the problems. While I like the easy banter Jeanie and Grant share. I really think they need to be more aware of how the laughter comes off. Especially Jeanie.
Suddenly single

I was new to podcasts...and newly single at 58 when I discovered this podcast. I truly enjoy their advice, emails and personalities. They have helped me to better prepare for the dating world again. So many topics have been thoroughly discussed and I will carry them with me to my new adventures.
Mostly ok, but I wish he wasn’t such a mansplainer

I am surprised how much I enjoy listening to this. I don’t always agree 100% with the advice, but I’m surprised how often I do and how often it applies to situations I’ve been in or have seen friends in, and the advice aligns with a positive outcome in that situation. One thing that drives me crazy, though, is how Grant talks over Jeannie, and half the time it’s to give an opinion or “answer” a part of the question that wasn’t in the letter!!! Example: when talking about a 42 yo with little dating experience, he went off about how the guy shouldn’t talk about being a Virgin, when he never did in the letter. Jeannie mentioned the 40 year old virgin movie and Grant went down another tangent. He should probably read the letters beforehand because he missed key details as they’re being read. So, basically, I listen to him rant and then wait for her and hope he doesn’t interrupt, talk over her, or mansplain because I tune him out after he does that. Edit: the more I listen, the more it’s clear to me that the advice is solidly focused on heterosexual relationships with a hearty dose of judgment for sexuality that doesn’t align with Grant’s beliefs (usually judging women who sleep with men “Willy nilly” sadly). The advice is generally still close to good but if your beliefs deviate from his, it’s worth knowing that before you listen. I just heard him make fun of the writer’s name. They’re in LA, so I’m kind of shocked by how conservative and sheltered he seems. Ask Grant to talk less and let Jeannie talk and that will solve a lot of the “mmhm” “yeah” stuff, too.
“Mm-hmm” “Yeah”. Too distracting to listen

I can’t listen to one more minute! Hopefully this will be taken as constructive criticism, but seriously, Jeannie says “mm-hmm” and “yeah” literally HUNDREDS of times! I know for certain I’m not the only one who hears this. Jeannie please listen to the April 5, 2019, episode and count them for yourself. It’s almost embarrassing.
