While we often think of Thomas as the doubter, Thomas’s story teaches us more about belief than it does doubt. As we journey through this eyewitness account, recognize that even though we may demand proof of God, when it is given, we find that we don’t need it at all. -

This week, at Lyons-Muir Church, we continue our new teaching series engaging with the eyewitness of the resurrected Jesus with Luke’s account of Cleopas and his wife on the road to Emmaus. Walking with Jesus we find that we not only need to open our minds to the possibility of God in our midst, but recognize the signs that scripture gives us leading to Christ. -
Did That Just Happen Pt. 1 – Believing in the Unseen (03/31/24)

Today, on Resurrection Sunday, at Lyons-Muir Church, we begin a new teaching series that focuses on the stories of the resurrected Jesus. The first encounter is really no encounter at all, as Mary, Mary, and Salome travel to the tomb of Jesus and find it empty. He is not here! He is risen! Then the angel tells them. Each one of us must decide what our answer will be. Will we reply, He is Risen, indeed!? -
It Is Finished – Standing Beneath the Cross (03/29/24)

Tonight, at Lyons-Muir Church, we gather to remember the events of the Friday before Easter. Standing beneath the cross we recognize that while we were not at the crucifixion of Jesus, we all play a part to the story at different times in our lives. Tonight, we remember the event, the history, and the memory of Christ crucified. -
James: A Faith That Works Pt. 8 – The Power of Prayer (03/24/24)
