Consistently informative! Exciting stories told in a series of personal, low-key chats. I love how they start every episode with a cup of coffee! In recent episodes, the sound level is consistently inconsistent. The commercials are *always* much louder than the rest of the podcast, and the gold rush episode of "Hometown History" requires the listener to have their hand on a volume knob that can go up and down something like thirty to fifty decibels at a time, as it goes from a commercial (very loud), to the normal recording, to the class calling in from California (very quiet.) It's unlistenable on an iPod, is my point, since the volume can't be adjusted fast enough.
