The One Where Our Kids Are Broken (Casts, Stitches, Crutches & More): Episode 316

By pure coincidence, BOTH Meagan and Sarah have kids with broken bones right now – so we’re here to talk about it! We discuss the current injury situation in each of our homes, and reflect back on other kid-injuries that have occupied that tricky space in between “rub some dirt on it” and “call the ambulance”. From stitches to sprains, bumps to the head and busted lips, we know raising kids involves a lot of injuries, and that it can be tough on parents to know what to do in the moment. Today’s stories all ended well – we promise! – but we’re here to validate that parenting an injured kid can be tough, both in the moment of decision as well as in the aftermath. Join us!

First time mom

I became a new Mom in 2020 and tried listening to MANY parenting podcasts. Now in 2021, this podcast is the only one I’ve kept subscribing to. I absolutely love their episodes. They’re relatable, funny, and have a great variety of topics.

The best mom podcast!

I am a mom of two littles under 4 and I feel like I am in what they call “the thick of it”. Listening to podcasts during my commute (which finally started back) is one of my forms of self care and when I came across The Mom Hour it was just what I needed. I tried several others and none even compare! Sarah and Meagan have such an amazing chemistry, so easy to listen to, and really make you feel like you are part of the conversation. Probably also because they talk about things that are SO relatable. They do such an amazing job of offering validation ( and commiseration sometimes) with the perfect amount of advice in a completely non “pushy” or “forceful” fashion. Have recommended The Mom Hour to all my friends!!!
