178. Understanding Israel and Palestine Pt 3: A Palestinian Speaks

In the last part of this series Tim brings on Daniel Bannoura a Christian Palestinian who grew up in the West Bank and who is now pursuing his PHD in America.  Daniel gives Tim an insider's perspective about what it's like to live in the West Bank and to have friends in the Gaza Strip.  Daniel and Tim talk about the Christian ethic of loving your enemies and what that means living under the occupation of the Israeli Defense Force.  Daniel shares some history on Hamas and how they see this conflict and Daniel also explains how American Christians too often erase the lived reality of millions of Palestinians and engage in the dehumanization of the "other".
