You don’t need clichés, pity, or the modern leadership industry’s empty go-rah cheerleader banter. You need the fellowship of men who also soberly recognize the value of like-minded fellowship. They see the wisdom of Solomon who observed thousands of years ago that even the best intended plans tend to go south without the wise counsel of other men. (See Proverbs 15:22.) Ep 21 - Freedom from Porn - Escaping the Triangle

The Next Stage Episode 21 Show Notes Wednesday, October 16, 2024. In this episode, The Next Stage podcast for men continues an exploration about how an addiction to pornography is grounded in complex family dynamics. Today, host Rob Stout leads in an exercise called escaping the triangle, where a triangle represents the ideal relationship that each person has with his or her mother and father. God’s design is not for us to “triangle” with just one parent and not the other, or triangle one parent against the other, but instead to live in healthy relationship within the triangle. When those boundaries and roles are not appropriately respected, however, the emotional and spiritual price can be significant and even lead to dark coping methods like turning to addictive behaviors like pornography, among others. Episode 21 is part of a series dedicated to breaking free from the addiction of pornography. The Next Stage Episode 18 Show Notes Wednesday, September 18, 2024.  UPDATE coming.
