We're joined by Dru Hammer, Armie Hammer's mother, as her explosive memoir, "Hammered" is released on 7/30. Dru is a woman of faith, and discusses her experience as a woman in the Hammer family, her advocacy...and nothing is off the table when it comes to her eldest son, Armie. "And we're thinking, oh, but he's the youth pastor. It's so safe. And it's not always safe. And I think that's where a lot of this came from with Armie- he was medicating pain. And you know what they say, hurt people... hurt people. That's a part of my book and a part of my testimony is how I failed. Armie was ashamed and children blamed themselves. He said nothing happened when it did, and we (as parents) were not as proactive as we should have been. I would love to have a platform because I've been there; it's not that we don't want to trust our children and what they tell us- but dig deeper. They are medicating and they are ashamed," -Dru Hammer on Armie Hammer being molested by his youth pastor as a teen.
