ARMIE HAMMER'S mother DRU speaks out amid the release of her memoir..."I think that's where a lot of this came from with Armie- he was medicating pain,"

The Outlier Podcast

We're joined by Dru Hammer, Armie Hammer's mother, as her explosive memoir, "Hammered" is released on 7/30. Dru is a woman of faith, and discusses her experience as a woman in the Hammer family, her advocacy...and nothing is off the table when it comes to her eldest son, Armie. Those rumors about Armie selling timeshares in the Cayman Islands in 2022? TRUE!

"And we're thinking, oh, but he's the youth pastor. It's so safe. And it's not always safe. And I think that's where a lot of this came from with Armie- he was medicating pain. And you know what they say, hurt people... hurt people. That's a part of my book and a part of my testimony is how I failed. Armie was ashamed and children blamed themselves. He said nothing happened when it did, and we (as parents) were not as proactive as we should have been. I would love to have a platform because I've been there; it's not that we don't want to trust our children and what they tell us- but dig deeper. They are medicating and they are ashamed," -Dru Hammer on Armie Hammer being molested by his youth pastor as a teen.

About "Hammered," from Dru's PR Team:

“HAMMERED” includes never-seen-before photos and affirmations of hope and is an inspiring read for anyone interested in finding peace in challenging times and looking for a way to embrace life's transitions. Dru shares how she built her own empire in real estate and design and provides insight on how other women can take control of their lives and finances. Dru also dives into the joys of motherhood with her two sons, Hollywood actor Armie Hammer and financier Viktor Hammer. She doesn’t hold back on her thoughts on being part of cancel culture when Armie, who was not found guilty of any accusations or crime, became a tabloid sensation after several women shared intimate details about their alleged ‘inappropriate’ relationships with him. She has never talked about this painful and tumultuous chapter in her life – until now.
