Reporting with Heart

When I want to go deeper in the news I go to this podcast. The reporters are well-informed and they care. I am always confused about the choice of ads, especially for Success Academy, a charter school that makes it impossible for kids with learning differences to stay, but I live in hope that one day The Intercept will report on them. We all need to pay bills, so I don’t blame them; it’s just always weird to hear such neo liberal companies advertised on such a leftist podcast.

Thank you.
Call it what it is: a coup

It’s so much more than a “constitutional crisis.” It’s a coup.
Is the irony on purpose???

When I play the “How to Really Resist” the first thing is an ad for Whole Foods. Is this a practical joke?
A shell of what it once was

The intercept was the paper that broke the American is torturing some folks stories. Now they are an ideological news letter. Less into exposing corruption and malfeasance at the highest levels. Instead, we they are here to tell you that America is evil for wanting prosperity, and that we need to vote against our own best interest, liberties, and prosperity, because we as Americans are bad and need to suffer.

Things that most media skip.
Progressive topics through mainstream lense

Timely left and progressive topics spoken through the standard fair Washington consensus opinion filter. Waste of air time since the last year or so.
Such good info. Diverse perspectives.

I’m often critical of podcasts light on content. This one is so packed with information, analysis, & background information(key), I am judicious about when to listen. There’s no letting your brain go on autopilot for this series.** Update, knocking down stars due to lighter content and vocal fry.
Poor Choice in Ads
23/11/2024
If you allow places like Qatar to advertise on your podcast, you lose at least one listener, and you bring question to the integrity of your mission. How can the Intercept talk out of both sides of their mouth so often? Reconcile your willingness to do business with tyrannical, anti-LGBTQ, misogynistic and I might come back. This is unforgivable unless you’re willing to change in the way you demand others to do so. Hypocrisy is glaring here!
Vocal fry 😣
17/11/2024
I want to listen to Intercepted Briefing but one of the female host’s vocal fry is unbearable. I feel bad saying this because women are so sick of criticism, but thought I’d add why I am unable to listen.
