The Patrick Page Podcast

The Patrick Page Podcast aims to encourage and inspire artists and artistic souls who aspire to mastery in art and in life. Host Michael Littig (Co-Founder of the Patrick Page Studio and The Zuckerberg Institute) leads the listener through a series of wide-ranging discussions with his mentor, Tony nominee Patrick Page (Hadestown, The Lion King, Hunchback of Notre Dame, etc) and a series of remarkable guests, seeking a deeper understanding of what it means to live as an artist. Focusing on “Method” (the techniques of the craft), “Motivation” (specific examples and tools for success) and “Meaning” (the “Why” behind all the work) Page and Littig open their private conversations to the listener, for a truly unique podcast experience.

Absolutely wonderful discussions and interviews every episode. Such wisdom — and that’s coming from someone who is not an actor....I love hearing about the creative process for Patrick and all the guests. Please keep this going even after Hadestown reopens! xx
Great programs! Looking for more 2021 conversations!

I have enjoyed everything I’ve listened to so far, but haven’t heard anything recorded in 2021. Where will I find something new from Patrick (and Michael) to enjoy?
A Treasured Practice
16/03/2021
Getting caught up with the Patrick Page Podcast has become a treasured practice. As someone who is often bored by podcasts, Patrick and Michael’s presence yields a sense of productivity and respite. Being included in an honest and empathetic retelling of experiences on and off the stage between friends (and their friends!) is both affirming and motivating. Their ever-evolving discussion around character analysis, career in performance, mental health and the exploration of the human condition articulates how connected we really are... What could be more relevant?

I listen to a lot of podcasts and I’ve never related to one as much as this before. It’s so nice to hear stories of people you look up to and know that you are not alone in this journey. Such open, honest, and therapeutic conversation. Thank you!

A year from now

I’m really feeling a connection to Patrick through this podcast, and it makes me ponder how we will be performing in a year. The sense of loss I feel right now, missing my stage families, leaves me feeling quite sad. But hearing his stories gives me a boost. Thanks for your honesty, too, about depression.
Extraordinary show

This is such an amazing podcast. I am a child psychiatrist and a leader of teams. The insights about courage, vision, self-knowledge, passion, creativity, compassion, empathy, and collaboration resonate beyond the world of theater or acting. I also deeply appreciate the compassionate and frank discussion about the experience of mental illness and recovery. I am recommending to my colleagues! Thank you for your work!!
Master Class

Patrick’s is the ultimate teacher whose lessons in art and life are informed by both his mastery and his humility. Listening to his working through his struggles and challenges is moving and inspiring, and Michael is the perfect host, a warm and engaging, but not obtrusive, presence.
