Episode 388: Jerked Around in Colorado
Jordan, Doink and Tim get together to recap a largely forgettable series in Colorado for the Boston Red Sox, who lost two of three to the Rockies.
Cooper Criswell was the team's star of the weekend, tossing a career-high seven innings, blanking Colorado in the process.
Tyler O'Neill hit two massive home runs and the Red Sox pitching staff bookended the series with two not-so-great pitching performances from Tanner Houck and Nick Pivetta.
The crew then talks about Alex Cora's extension, which was announced officially during the recording. The three spoke about deadline implications thanks to this extension before they moved on to preview this weekend's series with the New York Yankees at home.

Episode 387: Deadline Talk With Lou Merloni!
Jordan, Jake and Doink are joined by former Boston Red Sox infielder and current broadcaster Lou Merloni on this special bonus episode of The Pesky Report.
In this episode, Lou talks about what Trade Deadline season does to a clubhouse and how the mantra that standing pat because you "believe in the roster" is a crock of garbage.
Lou also gives his insight into the team's slow start since the All-Star Break and how that doesn't change his view of what they should do from a deadline approach standpoint.
He also lays out what could factor as a huge platoon problem for this team moving forward, which is why he deems nobody un-tradeable.

Episode 386: Promotions Galore + Midseason Awards!
On this week’s MiLB Talk, Derrik, Jake and Hunter start with six reported promotions in the Red Sox minor league season that came down Monday: David Sandlin and Connelly Early are headed to Portland, Noah Dean and Elmer Rodriguez are going to Greenville, and Franklin Arias are making their way to Salem from FCL. What do we make of the moves, and are there more promotions coming? The guys do a brief rundown of the performances at each level of the minors during the abbreviated weekend series after the All Star break, including Hunter’s rundown of seeing the WooSox in person. They also give their Position Player and Pitcher of the Mid-Year for each level. Among the players discussed include Chase Meidroth, Jason Alexander, Kyle Teel, Kristian Campbell, Hunter Dobbins, Isaac Coffey, Mikey Romero, Bryan Gonzalez, Allan Castro, Stanley Tucker and more. Finally they wrap up with Guess the Prospect!

Episode 385: Humble Pie?
Jordan and Brian are joined by Matt to talk a little bit about the Red Sox first second-half series of the season, against the Los Angeles Dodgers. The three talk about the vibe in Dodger Stadium and how close the Red Sox were to taking each of the first two games of the series.
However, they lost both. Is this a sign the team definitely should buy? Is this a slice of humble pie? A bit of both? The crew talks about all possibilities.
Jordan and Brian later talk "Contender or Pretender?" for the National League before wrapping up ahead of Sunday Night Baseball.

Episode 383: Noah Dean Joins MiLB Talk!
On this special episode of MiLB Talk, Derrik, Hunter and Jake are thrilled to be joined by Noah Dean, left-handed starting pitcher for the Lo-A Salem Red Sox! The guys ask Dean, drafted out of Old Dominion in the 5th round in 2022, about what have been the keys to his success in Salem so far and about his teammates in the clubhouse. Who is a leader? And who is the most unserious? They chat about his time pitching in college, and when he fell in love with the game. Dean talks about if things have changed under the new front office regime for the Red Sox this year, and what the transition was like from college bullpen arm to professional starter. We also ask about his advice for new Red Sox draftees and what they can expect as pros.
