Is There a Better Way Than Our Current Clef System?

Is There a Better Way Than Our Current Clef System?

This is one of the most interesting interviews I've had. Here I interview Joey, on topics like:

Is our current Treble-Bass clef system actually the best way to notate music?

What is Spaced Repetition Learning and how can we use it to help our memorization?

Routines and exercises for learning chords.

Anyway, this is an interesting one! Enjoy.

Olympic training techniques applied to piano!

I really enjoyed this podcast! The tips make excellent sense, and it was helpful to hear these techniques explained again as well as to have their effectiveness stressed. Very inspiring; I love your enthusiasm for teaching & all things piano! Keep up the excellent work, Zach!

Interesting and honest advice for how to learn piano

I like Zach's material on youtube and his podcasts because it helps me understand things from his honest and clear approach. I can tell he likes learning, wanting to improve his craft, and helping others with their goals. I may disagree with the order and priority of some of his processes, but overall they get you in the right direction pretty quickly, and I know this because I would use many of the same exercises when I studied classical guitar.

Thank you Zach!

Good stuff!

I’m a recent student (5 weeks in now) and big fan. Really like the mantra of breaking things down into little pieces and taking time as was reiterated by the 72 year old in the episode I just listened to.
