The Powell Movement is the podcast that pushes the envelope and is designed to be the go-to show for sports enthusiasts who want to know what it takes to achieve success.
Barrett Christy, Pro Snowboarder
Another week, another legendary athlete. Barrett Christy didn’t start snowboarding until she was 19 years old. She was a scholarship level team sports girl who traded her scholarship for a lifechanging road trip that led her to snowboarding. On the podcast we talk about winning more X Games medals than almost anyone, competing in the Olympics, equality, money, and so much more. It’s another do not miss episode.
Andy Mahre, Pro Skier
Andy Mahre comes from legendary ski blood. His dad and his twin brother are Olympic Medalists and were part of the fabric of 80’s Americana. Andy’s skiing is a totally different direction compared to where his dad was taking skiing. While Andy did race for a bit, he left that world to become one of the more innovative skiers of his time, with his effortless switch landings, huge drops and calm style that have inspired a generation of skiers. It’s another do not miss episode.
Chris Davenport, Legendary Skier, Part 2
Chris Davenport is a legend in the ski world…I call a lot of people legends and Dav is worthy of that title. On part 2 of the podcast we pick back up in Argentina and meeting Doug Coombs, how Dav’s pro career came together, money, death, athlete projects, and more. Part 2 is even better than part 1
Chris Davenport, Legendary Skier
Chris Davenport is a legend in the ski world…I call a lot of people legends, but Dav is worthy of that title. I mean, he’s the first US Red Bull Athlete. On part 1 of the Dav podcast, we talk about Chris’s race career, skiing Tuckerman’s at 12, McConkey and the friends he made at University of Colorado, Dean Cummings, the US Extreme's and a lot more. Don’t miss this one.
Matt Benedetto, From Ski Entrepreneur to Tik Tok
Matty Benedetto owes everything he has today to the ski industry. This self-described Evil Genius is the master of his domain through his internet property, Unnecessary Inventions but his roots in action sports stared as a kid on the message boards of newschoolers.com. From there he started a brand that would become an underground success in the ski world, had a life changing injury, came out, became successful and organically became a budding TikTok star. It’s another great listen.
Scott Ian, Anthrax
Scott Ian is the brainchild behind the thrash metal band Anthrax and a snowboarder who was there in the early days and wants to get back. On the podcast we talk about growing up a little Jewish kid in Queens, what comes with that, guitar, Anthrax, Metallica, lead singer syndrome, a little snowboarding, and a lot of metal. It’s an entertaining hour with a legend

The Powell movement never disappoints!!!
Love listening to this show. Mike does his research on his guest to keep the show moving and entertaining. Even his guests are impressed with the research he does. That’s what it takes to make the show so engaging and Mike always delivers.
One of the best interviewers I have heard. Great mix of athletes and industry people. I had spent 10 years in the action sports industry as a sales rep and product manager, TPM takes me back to those fun years of my life.
Born and raised in Seattle, TPM has also thought me so much about my community that I did not know and makes me want to support his sponsors.
Just a good, solid podcast. Always entertaining.
