The Pressure to Go Viral and Hit One Million Subscribers

With the rise of online presence can come the temptation to increase in numbers and to build one's own empire. While social media can be used for the glory of God, it can also be used for personal gain. The claim of going viral is something that is highly sought by many influencers, and the goal of hitting one million subscribers or followers is coveted and considered an asset pertaining to influence and even authority in some circles.

Now, we are seeing some who have created online academies and programs, designed to appeal to those who want to be online influencers. These programs teach how to go viral and how to influence millions. However, speculation can arise when numbers are rapidly accrued, and this leads into the question of integrity and a good witness for the Lord.
