Population decline perspective

I wish I was smart enough to develop a macro economic model of population decline combined with automation and job displacement and a better distribution of wealth. Population decline solves many problems with housing shortages and fossil fuel pollution to name but a few.

Just imagine, if the fractional trillionaire’s in our society were merely billionaires, and that money was used to drastically increase wages for a smaller population. That smaller but wealthier population will consume more per capita; perhaps the economy could still continue to grow. The money generated from increased automation and productivity could be used for better schools, daycare, etc. so the remaining population could become more productive.

Surely somebody out there must’ve modeled this idea and I wonder if it’s just trash or a workable model?

Informative

Scott Galloway’s unique business experiences, data-driven commentary, and irreverent sense of humor make this a great listen. The Office Hours responses are particularly enlightening, it seems the Markets team is really hitting their stride, and the interviews are well-researched.
