The Purpose of Fatherhood

To paraphrase Khalil Gibran, our children are not ours, but they come through us. What is the purpose of fatherhood? What is the impact each of who choose parenthood have on the future of our children? No, not all of us are suited to perform this task if we are to elevate the consciousness of our species. Yes, it is on us to nurture our children to carry forth their own abilities beyond us. No, it has nothing to do with us and they will be who they are.
