F1 Book Club: Derek Warwick on extraordinary bravery and never looking back
For the latest episode of F1 Book Club, exclusively for Race Members, host Edd Straw was delighted to welcome legendary F1 and sportscar driver Derek Warwick onto the show to discuss his incredible new tome: Derek Warwick: Never Look Back - The racing life of Britain’s double world champion.
In a heartfelt and at times emotional conversation, Warwick explains the part having cancer played in his decision to write the book, the role ghost writer (and friend) David Tremayne played in the process, and the 'naughty' stories he was so keen to tell.
Amongst the topics covered are Warwick’s career choices, his up and down F1 career, his championship-winning exploits in sportscars, and more. He also opens up on the challenges of being an F1 driver steward and poignantly explains the impact of his brother’s tragic death on his own racing career.
Derek Warwick: Never Look Back - The racing life of Britain’s double world champion is published by EVRO Publishing and is available from all good booksellers. -

The pressure is piling on Sergio Perez after another disappointing weekend at Silverstone, with rumours intensifying that Red Bull could replace him, despite the Mexican only recently signing a contract extension. So should we expect him to be sacked as Max Verstappen's team mate, and if he is who might replace him? And furthermore, how did Red Bull get itself into such a mess with its drivers? Mark Hughes and Dutch TV commentator Nelson Valkenburg join Edd Straw to discuss all of these topics, and more...

Customer Reviews
Literally one stop shopping
I’m writing this review now as I have just joined after listening for free for years. These guys provide multiple perspectives and viewpoints in an unbiased and often amusing way, but you never feel like they left a topic uncovered.
Fair in their judgements, but not pedantic, no matter who the hosts are
Boring
Bland, monotone, boring
In five words or less:
“Ben, stop interrupting everyone!”
Edd, Glenn & co. — please smack Ben over the head with a pillow each time he does this. Once the desired effect is achieved, I’ll upgrade this review to 5 stars.
