A place for readers of any age, but the focus is on middle-grade to young-adult-age novels. I look at Christian and non-Christian novels from a Christian worldview, trying to help my readers see how all books can be read and enjoyed biblically.

Shiloh by Helena Sorensen
If you are a fan of classic or dark fantasy, this is the book for you. Shiloh by Helena Sorensen. Forget about the fact that this is a YA book and a great one at that, this is a book that can be read and enjoyed even in adulthood. Forget about the fact that this is a Christian author, the book can be read and enjoyed by non-Christians. Most of all, I'm already looking forward to the next book in the series.

The Cruel Prince
Oh, we're fully into Young Adult with today's episode. We're back in fantasy and diving into a sad and cruel tale through Holly Black's The Cruel Prince. It's a captivating book but caution to my listeners, this book has themes for much older readers than the books I've reviewed so far. If a YA version Game of Thrones sounds like a book for you, give this episode a listen!

A Whole New World: A Twisted Tale
Taking your favorite stories from your youth and putting a dark twist on them? Yes, please. This review is about the first book in a series of Twisted Tales from Disney’s beloved animated films. A Whole New World, about Aladdin if Jafar got the Lamp first. It is making the stories for older audiences, but it’s still toned down and friendly enough to casually enjoy for a few hours. It’s the company of an old friend who has fallen on hard times. It is the Job of Disney stories. And… It is rather good.
