The Reconstruction Era

Faith In Each Other

Welcome to the Faith In Each Other Podcast. If we are going to have faith in each other, we believe we need to be willing to have hard conversations, and that is what we aim to do on this show as we learn together and go through the journey together of seeing where we, as a society, have gone wrong and where we have gotten it right.

In today's episode, Tom, David, and Jordan discuss the Reconstruction implemented by Congress from 1866 to 1877, where we saw the implementation of the 13th, 14, and 15th Amendments and a country that was, for the first time, defining the means by which white people and black people could live together in a nonslave society. How can we take lessons and actions from that time period, apply it to ours, to see a redefinition of our democracy today?

We hope today's conversation encourages you in your journey to have hard conversations and most importantly...to listen to others around you.
