014 - Super Bowl Champion, Wide Receiver, Ricardo Lockette

My guest is Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl Champion Wide Receiver Ricardo Lockette.

An Olympic quality sprinter. Ricardo holds the third-fastest 40-yard dash at the NFL Combine at 4.37 seconds.

He is a great example of how perseverance can take you a long way. An undrafted free agent in 2011 with the Seahawks.
He was cut by three teams, but he continued forward catching on a second time with the Seahawks.

Ricardo contributed to two Super Bowl appearances, including a dominant victory in Super Bowl XLVIII
over the Denver Broncos. But what makes this guy special is his commitment to his core values:
Faith, Family, and Football, and love for the next generation of kids. Enjoy my conversation with Ricardo Lockette.

013 - Two of the greatest place kickers in NFL history, Matt Stover and Nick Lowery

I’m literally kicking off this episode with two of the greatest place-kickers in NFL History ! Two time Baltimore Ravens Super Bowl Champion Kicker Matt Stover! Third most field goals made when he retired in 2009. And Kansas City Chiefs Hall of Fame Kicker Nick Lowery, when he retired, only the best made field goal percentage in NFL history. Between these two, 33 game winning field goals. But most importantly, two of the best people I have ever been around. Both leaders in the NFL community, and NFL Legends. I'm blessed to call them my good friends. We caught up in Miami, enjoy two great kickers, and personalities right here on the Roman Gabriel Show!

010 - William Byron: NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver

010 - William Byron: NASCAR Sprint Cup Driver

NASCAR champion William Byron has ascended auto racing more rapidly than anyone in recent memory. Going into his sophomore season in the NASCAR Cup Series, the driver looks to build on his rookie of the year campaign with a new crew chief, an iconic No. 24 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 race car and support from Hendrick Motorsports. Byron has quickly amassed an impressive list of accomplishments – especially considering he first drove a race car just six years ago. Hendrick Motorsports signed Byron, then 18, in August 2016 when he was a record-breaking rookie in the NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series. By the end of his season driving for Kyle Busch Motorsports, he had racked up an astounding seven victories, 3,248 laps led, and three pole positions en route to rookie of the year honors.  It was the most successful debut season in series history.

In 2017, he won the NASCAR Xfinity Series for Hendrick Motorsports affiliate JR Motorsports. As Byron competed for a championship in the Xfinity Series, Hendrick Motorsports announced his next – and biggest – career move in August 2017. Not only would he take the next step to the elite NASCAR Cup Series, but it would be in the iconic No. 24 Chevrolet made famous by four-time Cup Series champion and NASCAR Hall of Famer Jeff Gordon and his storied Rainbow Warriors team. Last year in 2019 he won 5 poles including Daytona. I caught up with the 22-year-old Liberty Student right before this year's Daytona 500. Enjoy this conversation with one of the hottest drivers to come along in NASCAR.

He travels the country speaking to college athletic programs and others, telling his story of a successful ongoing recovery from prescription drug addiction. And spreading needed hope and encouragement to those fighting this very serious problem in America. Ryan and I have gotten to know each other over the last few years. In this sit-down interview we discussed his ongoing recovery, some of the opportunities that have come his way through his new position with ESPN. Ryan's assessment of the landscape of college football, and NFL and college quarterbacks. His opportunity to spread hope wherever he travels, and appreciation for those who have helped him along his life journey.
