The RSS Defiant

This is a classic review format show: a group of friends where there'sa mix of people who have seen the thing and haven't. This is a fun show that feels like sitting around with a group of friends, nerding out about Deep Space Nine. The premise of the show is simple: rank every episode of Deep Space Nine from best to worst. Beyond just the production notes and the knowledge from seeing the series several times over, it's refreshing to get a perspective on the show that isn't just from a bunch of straight dudes. There's a lot to be said for queer readings of the characters, and about the DS9's treatment of women (looking at you, Ferengi episodes...). Overall this is a funny, wholesome time spent with friends nerding out about a very good Star Trek series.

I’ve only listened to the first episode (the only one out so far), but I’m already excited for more. As a big Deep Space Nine fan, I enjoy having the perspective of both those who have seen the show several times through, and someone who is experiencing the show for the first time. The crew has good chemistry, and play off each other well. I am looking forward to hearing more about their take on DS9.
