Astead is amazing

But I struggle with this show. I appreciate his dedication to hearing differing perspectives, but sometimes it really does sound like he’s shilling for Trump. Go listen to “Question Everything” if you’ve ever been frustrated with Mr Herndon’s practiced neutrality. It was so refreshing to hear Astead’s personal perspective.
Journalism done right

As a former newspaper reporter and now a professor of journalism ethics, I steer students to this podcast as the way interviewing should be done. I don’t know this journalist’s politics and that’s as it should be. Unbiased fairness like this is increasingly rare. Thank you,
Disappointingly Biased
5天前
This podcast was disappointingly biased in favor of Trump. It repeatedly puts Democrats like Harris, Biden, and Obama in a terrible light. All the sources they use have only bad things to say about Anti-Trump politicians and even voters. It also drives home the idea that the 2020 election was rigged and that the voting system cannot be trusted. As someone who believes in respecting others political beliefs and opinions, even when I don’t agree with them, I think this is fine, but not on a podcast that presents itself as a ‘guide to the 2024 election’. If you’re looking for an actual guide to the election, without the bias, I recommend the free podcast ‘538 Politics’ which I’ve been listening to for several weeks now and absolutely love.
Too unstructured

The podcast is a bit too unstructured and hard to follow cogently.
