268 episodes

A collective of conversations that inspire and encourage runners who know deep down that the world we want to create already exists and that we all play a role in bringing it to life. Join former professional runner and life-long athlete, Tina Muir in this unique running podcast. We don’t talk with professional runners about their wins, what shoes to wear, or what training is best. Instead, we relate every experience back to you, and love to think hard about the questions and dialogue you want to listen to and learn from.

While we bring on well-known guests like Rich Roll, Kara Goucher, Michael Gervais, David Epstein, Alison Desir, and Des Linden, these are not the same old conversations. It’s more like overhearing two friends talking about the deep thoughts that weigh on our hearts daily. Join us in discovering the power of running, why our sport has always been part of humanity, and how we can use it as a tool for realizing our truest self, uplifting our communities, celebrating cultures, and taking care of our Mother Earth.

    Together Run with Tina 9

Join me for a 30 or 45 minute run in St Louis. We start with a check-in with our body and mind, take in all our senses, and then have a conversation.
I answer the question about which sport I would do if I was not a runner, and then reflect on the other sports I have committed to during my life. What would you do if running wasn't an option? And what other sports have you enjoyed in life? I also talk a little about working with brands and the discomfort that comes from both sides. How irritating it is to see people online who are exploiting other people with the products they push.
Part meditation, part run, all Tina. Would love for you to join me.

Sika Henry: Speak Your Goals Into Existence

Sika Henry is proof that we can speak our goals into existence. If there’s anyone who exemplifies persistence and determination, it’s Sika. After years of training, a serious bike, crash, and even a pandemic, in May 2021 Sika became the first U.S. Black Female Professional Triathlete.  In this episode, Sika shares how she started as a college walk-on, to the workaholic life in New York City, to then come back to sports as a marathoner, and now a triathlete.

Together Run with Tina 7: 30 or 45 minute Run

Join me for a 30 or 45 minute run with 2-4 strides. We start with a check in with our body and mind, take in all our senses, and then have a conversation.
In this episode, I answer Elizabeth's question about my most challenging race. I talk about the two races I consider to be toughest, one I handled badly, and the other I handled well. If we were running alongside one another, what would you say was your most challenging race? When you upload your photo to social media, be sure to answer that question.

Refreshingly real

I have listened to Tina’s podcasts back from when she was a part of runnersconnect, and have always appreciated the way she interacts with the listeners. She makes it feel like she is talking to ME, and appreciating the “everyday runner”.
I listened to her first guided run today (I walked- recovering from a brutal half marathon) and it felt like she was right next to me. Well done, Tina and team. I love the guided runs

Together Runs

I am really enjoying these workouts!! I love the way Tina talks to us during these runs!! She has us to “check in” with ourselves as we are running! This suggestion helps us be really be aware of ourselves and our surroundings. Tina will ask specifically different parts of your body to scan, and identify how they feel.
I love listening to the rhythm of her feet hitting the pavement as it is almost meditating to me to listen to that sound, like a heartbeat. I love the striders Tina has incorporated into these sessions! This is new to me and I am excited to see how these help me progress in my personal goals of achieving that next PR.I can’t say enough about these sessions and am so happy I found this podcast!!

Thank you so much,
Kim

Love the Guided Runs!

Please do more of the “Run with Me” series. I do not like to run with others in part because I use the run/walk method, but I love the companionship these podcasts provide. I hope you will make these a permanent feature on the show.
