Despite the scepticism of friends and family and the doubts that clouded his scientifically trained mind, Gary experienced a remarkable transformation. Ten days after arriving in a wheelchair, he boarded his flight home walking—a changed man. Following this profound healing, Gary was urged by his Indigenous teachers to share the wisdom he had gained. Alongside his wife, Robbie Holz, he co-authored the powerful book "The Secrets of Aboriginal Healing."
