The Science of OBEs (out of body experiences) with Maria Weiler
Marina Weiler is an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry and Neurobehavioral Sciences in the UVA Division of Perceptual Studies.
That’s one way to say that she scientifically studies out-of-body experiences (or OBEs). This research is deeply confronting to a purely materialist view of the world, and it helps us understand better how consciousness works.
Anyone who has circled for an extended period of time has likely induced an OBE (or something like it) in the practice. Even if you haven’t, you’ve probably had some kind of experience that seriously undermines the idea that consciousness is simply something made by the brain.
We brought on Marina Weiler to teach us about her work and then, in typical Container fashion, we give her an opportunity to go into her full view of the universe.
