The Sky’s Not Falling: The Importance of Optimism in Relationships and Life - with Jim Thomas

Conscious Couples

In this episode, Bill talks with Jim Thomas about the importance of optimism and how to talk with people who have widely different views from your own. Jim Thomas is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. He has served as President of the Colorado Association for Marriage and Family Therapy and Director of the Colorado Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy or EFT – which learned from its creator, Sue Johnson. Jim’s work focuses on helping people to be more fully aware and engaged in their lives - with the assumption that when people connect more deeply with themselves, they can step beyond self-imposed limitations - allowing deeper connection with others and a richer life.
