Footnotes with Dr. Jemar Tisby

As I have listened to this podcast and begun to read his books, Dr. Tisby has become a trusted voice for me as I learn how to be an anti-racist. As a white-passing mixed race person, unpacking my own racial identity has been quite a process. I find Dr. Tisby to be a kind and grounded voice — so informed on the history of this subject! He has done his research and then some! And he generously shares his platform with so many interesting guests that I learn from as well. I appreciate that he values the beautiful parts of our faith while still challenging the Church on where it needs to improve, with clarity and discernment. Thank you Dr. Tisby for your important work!!

As a former white evangelical, I’m learning a lot from this show. I really appreciate everything from the history of Christianity in the US to how to talk to family and friends about racism. It’s on my list of favorites. Keep up the good work! I’ll definitely keep listening.
