This series is a must-listen for any parent of a young athlete. Jeff, one of the country’s best sportswriters, and Catherine, a parenting expert and family coach who frequently appears on the Today Show, each bring a unique perspective to topics both heavy and humorous. The married couple's easy chemistry, personal anecdotes, compelling guests and timely discussions make for a fun, topical listen -- though I side with Catherine in the Elton John-Hall and Oates debate!

Loved the back and forth and really interesting to hear challenges for parents and kids today.

I had no idea what to expect and I was very glad I spent some Sunday quiet time listening to episode 8. I couldn't agree more - it's your job as a parent to advocate for your kids and to get them what they need. It's such an important message to get out and wonderful piece to include in your podcast. I absolutely pray for average kids - well adjusted, healthy, functioning, life loving, fun and engaged kids. As for our fat shaming 20 something year old. I was horrified by here apology. "I'm sorry I didn't know how to use the technology so I could continue to be a closet perpetrator of hate." Coincidently, I have a high school friend who is a lawyer in LA who is pursuing this case with both guns a blazing. Ferris Bueller!!! Is it even a fair fight? I can't wait to hear the rest of them. As a lifelong sports fan, and soon to be father, I found The Sports Parent to be very entertaining and very informative. Both Jeff and Catherine bring their unique perspectives as a sports writer and a social worker to each topic they discuss. They discuss topics from both the sports and parenting world as well as how they overlap. Jeff and Catherine have great chemistry on the podcast, and they mix the episodes up with humor, guests, and interesting topics.
