EP55 - When Closing Windows Opens More Doors, Pt. 2

It’s always important to know when something has reached its end. Closing circles. Shutting doors, finishing chapters; it doesn’t matter what we call it.  What matters is leaving in the past those moments that are over. Sometimes we stare so long at a door that is closing that we see too late the one that is open. Consider that God closed that door because he knew you were worth much more.
In part 1 of When Closing Some Windows Open More Doors, I talked about how multitasking (aka too many open windows) impacts our brains.  Now let’s discuss how and why diminishing these distractions can open doors of destiny.

EP54 - When Closing Windows Opens More Doors

When your phone or computer has too many apps running — when there are too many windows open, you know what happens, right? It slows down because it’s trying to process all that info at once.
And, when all those windows are open at once, the computer or phone can freeze up and even crash.
The same thing happens to us too when we have too many “windows” open simultaneously and for too long!
Multi-tasking puts an awful strain on our brains and it's even proven by research!

    EP53 - Contradictions and Clarity

Ever thought you knew yourself only to discover parts you didn't realize were there?
Whether it's the infamous smackdown by a nice guy like Will Smith at the Oscars or the blessings that we're often ungrateful for...Celebrity Minister and Celebrity Make-up Artist Kym Lee and host Deya Direct have a girlfriends heart to heart about how our  contradictory behaviors can reveal our truths and provide clarity about what we need to do and how we need to grow.
One area of growth discussed was learning to live every moment fully to the best of our ability.  And while it's a very Hollywood mentality to always focus on the next big thing, Kym shares how Actress Angela Bassett helped her focus within and reminds us that 'next is actually now'.  Sound like a contradiction? But what if we're living in the midst of answered prayers? Discover what we mean...

Helfpul Hints to Survive the Holiday Blues

The latest episode of the SuperPowerHer podcast, How to Find Hope and Healing this Holiday Season was just what the doctor ordered! This time of year is always super stressful between the job and family expectations. However, due to recent changes in my employment situation and another round of increases COVID cases, I'm even more anxious and stressed. A friend suggested I listen to the episode and it was everything I needed. It was like the host, Deya and Dr. Tori Dixon were inside my head! The advice was super relatable and personal. It wasn't preachy or judgemental and I loved the laidback conversational style. I highly recommend this episode and the podcast in general for those seeking inspiration and motivation from women who feel like sistafriends.
