Contrary to popular belief, the great St. Patrick was not the first missionary to bring the faith to Ireland. Connaught Marshner probed into the earliest roots of Irish Catholicism and found that, long before Irish monks sent missionaries around the world, monks from Egypt (!) brought the faith to Ireland.
