A good source for casual preparedness information. Likable and personable hosts. Unfortunately it’s gone by the wayside and has been replaced with another podcast that’s not as good and barely about prepping.

From their August 20 2023 episode. “I don’t remember young athletes just dropping and dying” (implying it was the Covid vaccine)… Len Bias much? This has been happening forever. Your bias is called observational bias. This is why you believe conspiracies and don’t understand how to interpret science. I’m a medical doctor. 1/5 people who get vaccinated do NOT have cardiac issues. But alas enough casting pearls to swine.

I like the show .. They need to slow down their talking .. to fast .. it’s annoying ..

This is more about conspiracy theories and aliens than prepping. Giving preppers a bad and crazy tin foil hat reputation. Please stop!

Realistic and informative! Have binged the available ones and even joined his community so I could start at his first episodes and listen from there!

Sometimes, especially early on, this pod had decent information. I stopped listening and recently started trying to again, and he just goes on long rambling rants, without looking into anything. Today's episode for instance he’s talking about immortalized cells, and admits he doesn’t really know what they are. Took me 10 seconds on google to find out what they are, information that would’ve added actual good info on what he was ranting on. Idk seems a lot of personal ideals are getting farted out, instead of actual prepping info. Guy does seem like a decent person, but I’m interested in prepping, not sudo conspiracy theories.

This guy can ramble unspecific personal opinions like there’s no tomorrow (pun intended). I was looking for a podcast that shared expert insight backed by evidence, presented in an organized communication - not a huge ask - and this podcast does NOT satisfy those basic requirements. This podcast is for those who like simply really like wallowing in the social and emotional subculture of prepping.

I have been a prepper all of my adult life. My learning had nothing to do with politics. I wanted to provide for my family. I am also a University graduate. Part of my thesis was involved in how politics sensationalises small pieces of trouble into blown up trouble even when it was just an attention ruse. When I was small and polio was striking this Country I remember my grandmother walking me to the elementary school for a polio vaccine. The vaccine was in a sugar cube! I am still not convinced that method was the most scientific approach to deliver such a thing but I never got polio. She cared enough to want to protect me. Most every American has a vaccination history we all presented to attend school. I could be baffled why the Covid vaccine has become politicised if I hadn’t seen this kind of nonsense in our history before. I have been vaccinated & boosted yet I still got Covid but not as bad as it could have been. My police officer daughter, the same. Yet we lost a family member to Covid because they didn’t believe in the vaccination. My neighbours, both lost a sibling. Same reason. I am an American and while my fellow Americans who naysay the vaccination say it is about rights, what about the infringement of you exposing your disease on me or anyone else, what about my rights? It is about doing what you can for your community. It is hardly a political question. You comply with community by having a drivers license, having your childhood vaccinations , by not stealing and a bizillion other social contracts. Admit it, you are get getting attention like the slimy politicians who told us for instance our children were super predators in 1990. That scare by the way caused draconian laws against our youth. When I heard this podcast these thought ran thru my mind. Yes you have 1st Amendment rights but what about your social responsibility as a citizen. I see no merit whatsoever in this particular podcast.
