I did my best to be everywhere and do everything - But we have much work to do. Community efforts are still struggling because very few want to work together. My question has become what are you in it for? #Status #Money #Sex How can we do better? Time will tell. If Hollyweird (Hollywood) didn't do anything else, they let us know how deep this mess runs and reminded us this has always been spiritual warfare.

    Home: Springfield Missouri

    #Home The Midwest. The Gateway to the Ozarks. Queen City...Springfield, Missouri. Is a beautiful place...but why is it so beautiful. Because my ancestors were the fertilizer. The deep dark history STILL haunts this region just as the #OklahomaMassacre #TheDevilsPunchBowl or the #PhiladelphiaBombing "If this land could speak, it would cough up blood first." We haven't come so far. And we're not that far removed from our history. But to admit the truth is admitting their predecessors aren't the heros they've portrayed them to be. So let the conversation begin!

    Relationships Part II Millennial Parents: We’re The Grown-ups Now

    Part II. A Melaninated Woman raising a young Melaninated Man in Springfield, Missouri- a not so diverse place is a challenge within its self. Taking care of kids in #2024 IS NOT for the faint of heart with cell phones and the internet ruling as King. Hoodies and Attitude is what teenagers have to offer these days. The Mama/Daughter relationship is very different from Mama/Son speaking from my own personal experience. Breaking #GenerationalCurses and #FamilyDysfunction while healing your own childhood trauma is not only hard, but emotional. I found myself in a #existentialcrisis while Teaching my Son #SelfCare #EmotionalIntelligence #FinancialSecurity How are you doing raising these kids?!

    Addiction: Do you know your vices?

    When did you create your vices? Was it out of trauma? TELL THE TRUTH, SHAME THE DEVIL!!! Mine was created out of burnout which turned into coping. Operating at a higher frequency requires intentional work and #Selfcare: Acceptance Boundaries Communication and Discipline. This is spiritual warfare people! How are you arming yourself?

    The Self-Care Work| Know Thy Self

    How are you filling your cup up in 2024? What does healing and resetting look like for you? For me…I’ve had to focus on my mental health and what I am feeding to it. Are you praying/meditating daily? Exercising? Acquiring knowledge? Being creative? Working in your purpose/calling? As a single parent and Black professional in today’s society, I have to find a healthy balance to life. I recently reconnected with reading through the Libby audiobook app. Books like #DramaFree A Guide to Managing Unhealthy Family Relationships by #NedraTawwab and #TheSecret by Rhonda Byrne are great starts to identifying where you are in your own journey. But YOU have to do the work in your healing and working on becoming your best self!
