    1) Gospel - Mk 10:28-31 - Peter began to say to Jesus, "We have given up everything and followed You." Jesus said, "Amen, I say to you, there is no one who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands for My sake and for the sake of the Gospel who will not receive a hundred times more now in this present age: houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, with persecutions, and eternal life in the age to come. But many that are first will be last, and the last will be first."

24 May 24 – What Will Heaven Be Like?

24 May 24 – What Will Heaven Be Like?

What will heaven be like? Jesse Romero and Terry Barber are wise in turning to Saint Thomas Aquinas' Suma Theologica for the answer. As Doctor of the Catholic Church, Aquinas describes what Heaven is and how it works. There is no time for silly questions like "Will dogs go to heaven?". We want to know the crazier things, we want to find out about Glory!

    Today's Topics:

1, 2, 3, 4) Gospel - Mk 10:1-12 - Jesus came into the district of Judea and across the Jordan. Again crowds gathered around Him and, as was His custom, He again taught them. The Pharisees approached Him and asked, "Is it lawful for a husband to divorce his wife?" They were testing Him. He said to them in reply, "What did Moses command you?" They replied, "Moses permitted a husband to write a bill of divorce and dismiss her." But Jesus told them, "Because of the hardness of your hearts he wrote you this commandment. But from the beginning of creation, God made them male and female. For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. So they are no longer two but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, no human being must separate." In the house the disciples again questioned Jesus about this. He said to them, "Whoever divorces his wife and marries another commits adultery against her; and if she divorces her husband and marries another, she commits adultery."

23 May 24 – Catholicism: The Most Persecuted Religion in America

23 May 24 – Catholicism: The Most Persecuted Religion in America

There will always be Persecution in the Catholic Church. Even in a Christian nation, it seems that Catholics are not safe. The backlash from Harrison Butker's Speech is the latest example of how troubling it can get to speak even the most basic truths about the Faith. How often in public do we find ourselves biting our tongue to avoid persecution? Terry Barber and Jesse Romero talk about how Catholics are treated in the United States and the World. As members of the Catholic Church, Barber and Romero never hesitate to speak the truth with clarity and charity.

    Today's Topics:

    1) Gospel - Mk 9:41-50 - Jesus said to His disciples: "Anyone who gives you a cup of water to drink because you belong to Christ, amen, I say to you, will surely not lose his reward.

"Whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in Me to sin, it would be better for him if a great millstone

were put around his neck and he were thrown into the sea. If your hand causes you to sin, cut it off. It is better for you to enter into life maimed than with two hands to go into Gehenna, into the unquenchable fire. And if your foot causes you to sin, cut if off. It is better for you to enter into life crippled than with two feet to be thrown into Gehenna. And if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. Better for you to enter into the Kingdom of God with one eye than with two eyes to be thrown into Gehenna, where their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.

"Everyone will be salted with fire. Salt is good, but if salt becomes insipid, with what will you restore its flavor? Keep salt in yourselves and you will have peace with one another."

21 May 24 – The Right Hand of the Lord is Exalted

21 May 24 – The Right Hand of the Lord is Exalted

Traditionalism is not the solution to the problems in the Catholic Church but a symptom of what is happening today! Sophia Press Author, Aurelio Porfiri, explains how traditionalism and black-and-white Catholicism is damaging to evangelization. This should be an interesting show as the host, Jesse Romero, is known for being controversially traditional himself.

    Today's Topics:

    1) Gospel - Mk 9:30-37 - Jesus and His disciples left from there and began a journey through Galilee, but He did not wish anyone to know about it. He was teaching His disciples and telling them, “The Son of Man is to be handed over to men and they will kill Him, and three days after His death the Son of Man will rise.” But they did not understand the saying, and they were afraid to question Him.

They came to Capernaum and, once inside the house, He began to ask them, “What were you arguing about on the way?” But they remained silent. For they had been discussing among themselves on the way who was the greatest. Then He sat down, called the Twelve, and said to them, “If anyone wishes to be first, he shall be the last of all and the servant of all.” Taking a child, he placed it in their midst, and putting his arms around it, He said to them, “Whoever receives one child such as this in My Name, receives Me; and whoever receives Me, receives not Me but the One Who sent Me.”

20 May 24 – Good Philosophy Breeds Good Theology

20 May 24 – Good Philosophy Breeds Good Theology

It's an age-old adage, good philosophy breeds good theology. This inspiring radio show, with Father Charles Murr and Terry Barber, takes a wild turn in explaining the heresy of the modern day. In this battle against modernism, the Catholic Church is determined to call out bad philosophy and demonic psychology. Two old Catholics tackle the subject in an unfiltered manner. Together, Barber and Father Murr explain the illogical thinking promoted in our modern society.

    Today's Topics:

    1) Gospel - Jn 19:25-34 - Standing by the cross of Jesus were His mother and His mother’s sister, Mary the wife of Clopas, and Mary of Magdala. When Jesus saw His mother and the disciple there whom He loved, He said to His mother, “Woman, behold, your son.”

Then He said to the disciple, “Behold, your mother.” And from that hour the disciple took her into his home.

After this, aware that everything was now finished, in order that the Scripture might be fulfilled, Jesus said, “I thirst.” There was a vessel filled with common wine.

So they put a sponge soaked in wine on a sprig of hyssop and put it up to His Mouth. When Jesus had taken the wine, He said, “It is finished.” And bowing His Head, He handed over the Spirit.

Now since it was preparation day, in order that the bodies might not remain on the cross on the sabbath, for the sabbath day of that week was a solemn one, the Jews asked Pilate that their legs be broken and they be taken down. So the soldiers came and broke the legs of the first and then of the other one who was crucified with Jesus. But when they came to Jesus and saw that He was already dead, they did not break His Legs, but one soldier thrust his lance into His side, and immediately Blood and water flowed out.

Father Charles Murr joins Terry to discuss the importance of the relationship between good philosophy and good theology, the importance of knowing the Faith, and not straying from the Deposit of Faith
