The Toddler: Meeting the Need

UNTAPPED: Syrup for the Soul

In this episode, our emotions are likened to a toddler trying to get attention. They will do what they have to do to get it, even if it is perceived as negative. Acknowledging the emotion and addressing it, getting on its level, describing it, calming it and communicating with it is key to creating a relationship of trust within yourself. When our emotions know we are going to take care of them, they no longer need to kick and scream and bite. We in turn recognize that all emotions are here to help and serve a purpose in our lives.
