2nd Sep Q&A: Epigenetics, Protein Intake, DNA, Building Muscle and More

Our Community members asked questions about health, low carb, youtube, and more. The podcast episode discussed parents who normalized junk food and why we need to change it, and a link to the episode was provided. The chat also discussed how to talk to others about healthy eating, especially children, and a suggestion to look up on Facebook for groups that discuss carnivore meals for children. A member shared that they give their children as much meat and protein as possible, but they still have a mixed diet and snacks. Protein is essential for building and repairing cells in the body, and it is involved in every bodily process. The body uses DNA to create proteins, and our diet and lifestyle can control how this occurs through epigenetics. Therefore, we can impact our health and wellbeing through our diet and lifestyle. Farmed fish may still contain carcinogenic substances, but this needs to be further researched. Some studies, particularly those involving adjustments or Mendelian randomization, may not accurately reflect the data. Both experts agree that determining the ideal protein intake for a zero-carb carnivore diet varies from person to person and is based on individual factors such as activity level, gender, and goals. Some people may thrive on lower protein intake, while others may require higher amounts. It is important to experiment and find a balance that works best for everyone. They also discuss the role of protein in building muscle and the importance of including fat in the diet for energy and overall health. 🔗 Coach Stephen's Links 🖥️ WEB: www.theukcarnivore.com 🥩 BOOK COACHING: www.theukcarnivore.com/booking 🖼️ Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/theukcarnivore/ 🌳 QUICK LINKS: https://linktr.ee/theUKcarnivore 🔊Podcast. 5 Sep Skool: Dr Abs Talks Melatonin, Hormones, Skin Care, carnivore Diet and More

Both hosts discuss their journeys with the carnivore diet and how much they are both enjoying it. They mentioned how supportive the community is and shared their excitement for the upcoming Carnivore conference in the UK. Dr. Abs also answered some questions about supplements and their personal experiences with seafood on the diet. Abs also shared his opinion on how some populations may be better adapted to a certain portion of the carnivore spectrum. Dr. Abs also briefly mentioned the placebo effect and that Melatonin supplements should only be taken in low doses as it can have negative effects on sleep quality, hormone levels, reproduction, libido, and immunity. It may also interfere with other medications. Onto skin care. The recommended dose for a derma roller is 1 millimeter, and it is important to apply enough pressure to ensure the needle is fully submerged but not so much that the skin bleeds excessively. It is also important to stretch the skin for optimal results. Studies were next. Relative risk is nearly always used for positive outcomes and absolute risk is nearly always used for negative outcomes in studies for pharmaceuticals, which is a misleading practice. The speakers believe this should change and both statistics should be provided openly and transparently. A podcast episode will be released on Sunday about an LED mask that can help reduce redness on the skin caused by inflammation. 🛜 Join our excellent Skool Group. 3. Q&A with Dr. Abs : Biscuits, Whey, Protein, Living Longer and More

Q&A with Dr. Abs : Biscuits, Whey, Protein, Living Longer and More

Susan's question is, “what facts can we tell people to convince them to stop eating biscuits? 1. Biscuits are high in refined carbohydrates and sugar, which can lead to weight gain and obesity if consumed regularly. 2. Regular consumption of biscuits can increase your risk for chronic diseases such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes due to their high sugar and calorie content. 3. Biscuits are often made with unhealthy ingredients. Regarding antioxidants, Dr. Abs says that most plant compounds aren't antioxidants that could help with detox, but increasing ketone levels through a ketogenic diet or carnivore diet can elevate glutathione levels, which is a powerful antioxidant. He recommends using liposomal glutathione or injecting it for better bioavailability. Richard shares a link for a clean grass-fed whey protein powder he likes, while someone else mentions other options like naked whey or raw whey. Richard talks about his own protein powder that has nine ingredients. A member asks about the best qualification route to stick to Keto or Carnivore principles. The doctor and Richard recommend learning from online resources and groups, and not to worry about formal qualifications. Other options to demonstrate knowledge include writing a book or starting a blog or video series. They explain that a mixed macronutrient diet can cause inflammation and negatively impact the body. The human body has a natural ability to repair and regenerate tissues, but this process becomes less efficient as we age. This is due, in part, to inflammation, oxidation, and glycation, which are all processes that contribute to aging. While following a carnivore diet may slow down these processes, they still occur. The best way to promote tissue regeneration is through a balanced diet and lifestyle. One compound that has Dr. Abs is a doctor who is also into nutrition and fitness. He provides a lot of helpful tips about avoiding additives in foods and chooses pure and natural ingredients. He also talks about protein and the challenges of producing a good quality protein supplement without additives. He also shares some interesting studies about the effects of protein on blood glucose levels. Coach Stephen also talks about his experience working with a type 1 diabetic athlete and how changing the guidelines helped her improve their health and compete at the olympics.

UNCENSORED Professor Bart Kay: Essential Carnivore Health Questions Answered

Coach Stephen discusses with Professor Bart kay that he believes that current blood tests are not comprehensive enough and only look at a few limited markers, which can lead to misdiagnoses. They suggest that tests should include fasted glucose and insulin, c-peptide, a full thyroid panel, full iron panel, and all liver markers -at the least- AST, ALP, ALT and GGT levels, as these can provide a better understanding of overall health and function. They also mention that exercise can cause elevations in ALT but that does not necessarily indicate a problem with the liver. Bart and Stephen urge people to think differently and look at a more complete picture of their health: We see that people's blood tests often don't match up with how they feel. They feel the term ‘insulin resistance’ is misleading as the mechanism is more to do with our cells protecting themselves by not taking in too much glucose. One of the drugs that is supposed to lower blood sugar by forcing the cells to take in glucose is harmful because it damages the cells. We also look at LDL, which does not cause heart disease; cholesterol is biosynthesized according to your body's needs; pharmaceutical companies have tried raising HDL with drugs but only statins lower LDL. There are many factors involved in atherosclerosis, including pressure and turbulence in the blood, and injury to the endothelium; the theory that cholesterol causes heart disease is fraudulent and has been proven to be so for 70 years; vegans and vegetarians still get heart disease. We are not telling you that fruits and vegetables are not good for you. We are simply stating the fact that there is no nutritional benefit to be found in fruits and vegetables that cannot also be obtained from meat and animal fat. Additionally, fiber is not necessary for proper bowel function and the myth of needing vitamin C from fruits and vegetables is not supported by evidence. Our species is designed for a mostly carnivorous diet and stable isotope testing can confirm this. The man in the housecoat is a former academic who has expertise in physiology, human nutrition, and cardiovascular pathophysiology. He says that statins are a contraindicated metabolically with no established benefit, and anyone who claims otherwise is either ignorant or misleading for profit. LDL is a transporter for fats and lipids, and getting rid of it would be dangerous because it plays an important role in our body. Cholesterol makes up 50% of every cell membrane.

Anna Lost 100lbs and Got Her Health Back

In Anna’s own words, “I’m just a mom who grew up in the standard American food system, became a victim of it, and now I’m trying to break free from that system for my own health and lost 100 lbs along the way. I’m constantly learning more and trying to figure out how to set my own family up for health and success as they grow…not perfectly, just consistently. I’m on instagram to encourage women that anyone can do what I’ve done.” https://www.instagram.com/annas_lost_it/ Anna starts by telling me that she has always been drawn to butter and other good things but was convinced by her family and the media that margarine was a better option. However, she later discovered that this advice was false. When asked for advice on those struggling to give up their standard American/Western diet, she suggests giving the keto diet a try for at least 12 weeks and explains the potential benefits such as mental clarity and increased energy. Anna was formerly obese, but after trying many different diets, they found success with the keto diet combined with intermittent fasting. Anna believes that the key to weight loss is making oneself as robust as possible, both physically and mentally. She also mentions the importance of understanding how a woman's cycle can affect weight loss and recommended paying attention to this when trying to lose weight. The person's family has also seen success with making dietary changes, including cutting out processed foods and snacking. Her family have lost a combined total of over 400lbs!
