The CARRA Podcast
If you’re a rheumatologist, a pediatric rheumatologist, a researcher or a patient/caregiver living with a pediatric rheumatic disease, you need to know about the Childhood Arthritis and Rheumatology Research Alliance (CARRA). We are doctors, researchers and patients all working together to prevent, treat and cure pediatric rheumatic diseases and related autoimmune diseases. In each episode, we will interview a member of the CARRA community to hear research updates, explore new ideas and learn how we can all work to create a world free of limitations for children with pediatric rheumatic diseases and related autoimmune diseases. This is a well done podcast led by a wonderful host, who happens to be a teen with a complex rheumatic disease. She is a natural pro at leading a high level, interesting and educational podcast with various experts featured on this program to address many topics that need more attention. The two part mental health series really impressed me on taking on this very serious and all-too-common challenge for patients of all ages with rheumatic diseases, but it is extremely challenging for young people that are still developing, having to go to school, deal with life amongst the majority of people in their age group having no understanding of rheumatic disease, including their teachers and others. Thank you for this podcast! I will share this with others, especially patients and their families.
Great podcast for autoimmune families!

This podcast and its very talented producers and host do an amazing job of highlighting the latest research in pediatric rheumatic and autoimmune diseases. More importantly, this podcast makes research more accessible and relatable by explaining it a way that kids and families can understand. The mental health episode was fantastic! Keep up the fabulous work!

I HIGHLY recommend this podcast. The host is amazing. Claudette Johnson is a high school junior who was diagnosed at age 9 with scleroderma, a chronic connective tissue disease that falls under the umbrella of autoimmune rheumatic diseases. She has spent the past seven years trying to raise awareness about pediatric rheumatic diseases so other kids can get the treatment they need.
