    SELF-LEADERSHIP - WORKPLACE ETIQUETTE

Welcome to Episode 289 of the Walking Leader Podcast with your host David G. Guerra. In this episode, I share with you an article, from the Business Training Media website: “12 Effective Ways to Improve Your Workplace Communication Skills”. This article serves as a great opportunity to revisit the basics. Check which of the basics need a little extra attention and which need a complete overhaul. All of us, present and future leaders stand to benefit from periodically re-visiting the basics. It is what makes leaders better in that they know that they can never truly master any workplace skills but through honing these skills they can achieve near mastery. Additionally, it is expected of leaders to show others that it is perfectly acceptable to occasionally pause, reflect, adjust course, and then get back on track. As a leader, it is your responsibility to keep yourself sharp and ready. It is also your responsibility to encourage others to make the time to periodically check themselves. REMEMBER TO KEEP GOING BEYOND THE GRIND & KEEP GOING BEYOND THE HUSTLE BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE THE WALKING LEADER. AND TO BE A LEADER WITHOUT EQUAL YOU MUST BREAK FROM THE CROWD! I invite you to take about 15 minutes and listen to the Episode 289 of the Walking Leader Podcast. Enjoy! SELF-LEADERSHIP - PERSONAL ETIQUETTE - POLITICAL CONVERSATIONS

Welcome to Episode 288 of the Walking Leader Podcast with your host David G. Guerra. In episode 288, David shares with you a great OP/ED article, from the Belleville News Democrat, that is quite appropriate for the times we are living in. As we are in election season, almost all conversations will turn to the upcoming elections and who will you be voting for. If you would rather keep your Political Opinions to yourself but those around you just cannot help themselves there are options you can take to help remedy the discourse that is sure to follow. The ability to not fall into the trap of a conversation rooted in Politics, Religion, and/or Medicine is one of those that you will learn over time. However, by setting the standard early, those around you might just avoid creating situations that could potentially harm or strain any relationship (personal or professional). As a leader, it is your responsibility to keep these kind of conversations in check it key to your success as the leader. Learn to identify and deal with these “no-win” conversations. THUS, KEEP GOING BEYOND THE GRIND & KEEP GOING BEYOND THE HUSTLE BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE THE WALKING LEADER AND A LEADER THAT IS GREAT TO FOLLOW. TO BE THE LEADER AND TO BE WITHOUT EQUAL YOU MUST BREAK FROM THE CROWD!. I invite you to take about 14 minutes and listen to the Episode 288 of the Walking Leader Podcast. Enjoy! Self-Leadership - Personal Development & Growth - Actions & Consequences

Welcome to Episode 286 of the Walking Leader Podcast with your host David Guerra, MA, MBA. In this episode, 286, David shares with you some tips and tools on ACTIONS & CONSEQUENCES. As a Leader, the sooner you understand and accept that for every ACTION you take there is a CONSEQUENCE. No one is immune to that fact. Consequences come in many shapes and sizes. When will the CONSEQUENCES occur? Only fate knows. No matter the reason, there is one thing that all true leaders must accept and that is to OWN YOUR ACTIONS AND YOUR CONSEQUENCES. Owning your actions and the inevitable consequences puts you head and shoulders above those that feel they are immune to consequences for their actions. The sooner any up and coming leader lives with the consequences of their actions (intentional or unintentional) the better leaders they become. They become better at leading because they hold themselves to a higher standard long before they try to think they can hold others to any standard. SO, GO BEYOND THE GRIND & GO BEYOND THE HUSTLE BECAUSE THAT IS THE ONLY WAY TO BE THE WALKING LEADER AND A LEADER THAT IS GREAT TO FOLLOW. TO BE THAT LEADER AND TO BE WITHOUT EQUAL YOU MUST BREAK FROM THE CROWD! I invite you to take about 10 minutes and listen to the Episode 286 of the Walking Leader Podcast. Enjoy!
